Remember when contacting the Jobcentre about a claim or anything else, it is likely that you will be kept waiting for a time as this is a busy service. In order to make the experience less frustrating be prepared.
Have as many details to hand as possible, for example your National Insurance number, workplace addresses and phone numbers, child care invoices and payslips.
A diary or calendar is always useful too in case they would like to make or rearrange an appointment.
Make you’re self a cup of tea and wait for someone to answer.
